  1. Past hour
  2. He looked down at her, and simply nods in response. The comment he had made about Jack and his lieutenants most likely not killing him seemed to give him a bit of reconciliation, and the tension in the room felt a tad less intense. He hadn’t heard much from Jack since his time working off his debt with the Saul at the Med Tent, much less even seen the man, and for some odd reason he felt this reunion was going to be more awkward than when he first stormed up to the gates with a prisoner in front of the barrel of his gun, maybe it was because he knew much more about the ruler now than he had back then. Which was either a blessing, or a curse. Feral’s fascination with Jack came off as strange to Yetti, he never understood it, but he did personally fear it greatly, perhaps greater than the man himself. Due to how much it seemed to have absorbed the kid. He worried that she would grow a bit...too attached to Jack, in a rather unhealthy way, devoted to his will like a mindless servant. Willing to do anything, under no remorse, including killing her own. Of course, that’s what just about any Raider would do for him, but everyone had their limits. Yetti had his limits with children, with elderly and weak and innocent. Others would have family, friends, something to cling onto for common humanity, but Feral, all she would have left is Jack’s satisfaction. She had her arm broken, face punched, bitch slapped, verbally assaulted, and publicly humiliated by Jack, and probably more since before he became a member, and yet there she was, loyal as ever to him, and that’s what made him fear this fascination. And he knew that the one thing to fear, other than fear, is someone with nothing to lose or fear. While Jack had an entire empire, possibly the Bone Carver he seemed to care so much for (whom Yetti hasn’t met), and potentially hundreds of people ready to fight for him, Feral...well, Yetti had an ominous, creeping suspicion, that the preteen Raider standing before him, had nothing to lose. While he had his inner thoughts, he would look back at the scene of the Throne Room one last time, before they both stepped out into the Courtyard, just as the door shut. Somehow, that door shutting behind him was a reminder of that day he went into the Scorgue, seeing those gates close behind him. And he felt something big was in store down the road.
  3. Today
  4. T.A.'s blonde head tilted, her own full lips parting slightly, her green eyes almost closing, wanting to lean forward and kiss Genie, to lose herself in the intensity of that kiss, thinking of neither the past nor the future, just the moment. Blinking her large green eyes several times as she cleared her mind, the teen medic shook her head, bringing herself back to reality as she forced a smile and said reassuringly while it was her turn to put a strong but comforting arm around her friend's shoulders, "Then that's our next stop: AVR Medical. If there is such as inoculation against that there Scorch Beast disease, then we ain't gonna stop until we find it." T.A.took to her feet, looking first to her right, then to her left, before the teenager bit her lower lip and asked, "Y'all got any idea where this AVR Medical is?"
  5. "If you drop, I won't have time to run, if Jack wants to kill me," Answered Feral with a lopsided grin before her face turned impassive again and she explained as she ordered, "And I have to be first. I'm the Leader of our Pack Yetti - and I'll never lead from behind. I'll never have someone face a danger head on that I'm not willing to face. That's not strength, that's weakness - and I'll never be weak again." As they entered the courtyard, the young Raider whispered, "That's true about Jack, he'd kill us publicly. Jack is a god... or demon... or both... so what does he need secrecy for? But some of his lieutenants? If we were to just disappear, it might serve their interests just fine."
  6. Yetti followed her, closely, and, looking back at the bartender, placed his hand on the preteens shoulder, and slightly pulled her back. “If it is, ive got a bit more meat on my bones than you, if I drop, then you run. Let me go in ahead of you kid.” He gently pulled her back, almost in a protective manner, and slowly opened the door, peeking through the other side to observe the environment they were entering, and every nook and cranny. He would then whisper to her, after a few moments of reconciliation. “Well...looks like a courtyard alright, if he wanted us dead, I’m sure he would have done it publicly, in the Throne Room, or at the gate. Not in some back alley like we were just rabid dogs...and I doubt his own men would want to make a move on us like this.”
  7. Feral visibly gulped, but she gestured to Yetti to follow as she headed towards a door in the back side of the Throne Room. As they walked, the preteen Raider turned to say over her shoulder, "Be on your guard Yetti. This may be a trap. I was told that no one was ever supposed to go through here - ever!" Still, Feral grabbed the door and opened it with one hand - while keeping her other hand on the butt of her holstered .44 pistol.
  8. Yetti responds to the bartender with a half nod, then looks down to feral, then says. “Well, theres our all clear I suppose.” He will let her lead the way.
  9. The bartender looked up from cleaning one of the glasses with his eyes, his face still cast downwards. "Jack is out there." He said, motioning towards a door in the back side of the Throne Room. "Leads to a small courtyard. Usually doesn't let people in there, but specifically told me to send y'all on through if you returned." He leaned in closer, speaking in a low voice. "Mind y'selves around him. Spear may've broke his arm, but he won't need that, nor his armor to kill ya if he wanted."
  10. Yesterday
  11. Before Genie plodding over to her friends who were already set and resting under the large oaken shade tree. She lagged behind only a moment to eat some Rad-Awy. She wondered in that moment how there could be such a contrast of enviroments in such close proximity to each other. She waved that thought hoping they could avoid the burning wasteland for as long as possible. She plopped down beside TA, without thinking she sat by her rather than MacGruber. Equally mindlessly, she rubbed TA's back while she spoke to her, as calm and sincere as she could. "I am deeply sorry for the loss of your Papa, my heart breaks for you" She swallowed hard to choke back more crying, the adrenaline still pumping from the fighting helped, some. Looking at the lifeless beast before them was a reminder of the reality. "Maybe it was sick, maybe it's a baby...I hope it doesn't have an angry mother somewhere...". She paused thoughtfully. "TA I'm scared..." She interrupted that train of thought. "...Mack and me got hit with some form of radiation.... Here, listen to this" Genie accessed her PIP-boy files under the heading of 'HOLO', she scolled down, mumbling to herself as she did. "Ahh, here, this one. I made a copy from Mom's, err, the Overseer's journals. She press play and fast forwarded to the excerpt. **"I learned that a Responder scientist was developing an inoculation to protect against Scorched mutations. The work was being carried out in a laboratory at AVR Medical"** It finished playing, Genie's otherwise perfect skin turned pale, and beads of sweat formed on her smooth forehead. Her big brown eyes teared up while longingly staring into TA's welcoming green eyes. With their eyes connected, she felt she wanted to explain, but couldn't speak. The words just hung loosely on her supple lips, that only quivered but made no sound. Maybe by not saying it would keep it from being true.
  12. In the Throne Room next to the bar, the small preteen Pack leader finally exhaled the breath she had taken before entering as she looked up at Yetti with wide brown doe-like eyes as she confessed in a whisper, "All I'm sure of is a leader has to lead. If I'm too scared to even enter the fucking place, I'm never going have a seat here. More importantly, those slavers are better armed and numerous than we thought. And the fact they got reinforcements soooo quickly makes me think they are awfully organized too. Jack needs to know that." Feral shifted her eyes to stare at the throne of Bones as she stated with determination in her voice, "Now we may have the location of their headquarters. Jack may want us to shift targets, maybe just to wipe out the Raider leadership. At the very least, Jack needs to know about this new threat to the Scourge as soon as possible." Feral hoped she sounded more confident than she felt.
  13. Once everything finally got settled in and situated, the group splitting off, the two men going to celebrate or relax and get prepared for the next attack, Inga in the Medical Tent, and Feral off to the Throne Room, Yetti would be at the outside of the Med aren’t while Feral spoke with Inga, leaning against the side of the entrance waiting on her. Once she exit, Yetti would add. “Considering last time you and the group went into the Throne Room last time without me, I feel like I should tag along, just to be safe and make sure you don’t die alone, at the very least.” He gives her a reassuring half smirk, and follows her up to the room housing the King himself, although something bothered him about walking up to the place without first being called on, and he would voice this concern. “I hope you’re really sure about this kid, because I’m not really in the mood for dying tonight.” Once they arrived, he would let Feral do the talking, until things got too far out of hand at the very least, he would be prepared to negotiate, or defuse.
  14. Feral took a deep breath before heading through the large double doors into the Throne Room. The thirteen year old Raider looked resplendent in her freshly shined black metal armor, the Deathclaw's skull etched in red on her breast plate, with her black furred boots and her long brown hair looking like a short cape finishing the picture. The diminutive Pack leader looked like a knight of Arthur's round table - or so her young mind thought remembering the fantastical stories her Teacher had told her of them when Feral was a child. However, the white bandages covering her upper head, her .44 in her western holster and machete sheathed on her back brought her image back to modern post-apocalyptic times. When Feral entered the Throne Room, she took her usual position at the corner of the bar, glancing around the room and asking the bartender while she leaned on the counter towards him, "Is Jack in a good mood?"
  15. When Mackenzie and Lucky leaves, Feral frowns putting her Grognak the Barbarian comic back into it's place of concealment under her straw pillow. Sitting up, she pulled her black furred boots on and stood up. The preteen Raider girl bit the tip of one tan forefinger thinking on what both Lucky and Mackenzie had said about her reporting into Jack or waiting to be summoned by him since the last time the Pack barged in they almost go killed. Fingering the locker keys on the silver chains around her neck, Feral's frown grew as she recollected, "Get the FUCK OUT." Bone Carver had snapped, as all the Scourge leaders standing and drawing their weapons. "And don't EVER think you can come in here like that again." Jack himself had growled, his voice sounding as if on the verge of loosing his temper, "All of you have three seconds to exit this room." The thirteen year old paced back and forth in her small cubicle, trying to figure out what to do next. Reaver had said that she as the leader of the Pack should report directly to Jack, so shouldn't she do so now? Before the nuclear war, she had read there was a saying, "Lead, follow, or get out of the way." Feral desperately wanted to be a leader. As she paced, Feral noticed her blood stained Grizzly Teddy Bear had somehow fallen off her bed and on to her quarter's floor so she picked it up and in a whisper asked, "What would Grognak the Barbarian do?" A small smile crossed her cherubic face as the answer came to her when Feral thought to herself, "Grognak would go right into the Throne Room and face the consequences if there were any head on!" Feral dressed in her black metal armor, leaving her helmet off for it still hurt her bandaged and recently concussed head head to put on. Her combat shotgun she left leaning in the corner of her quarters, but she did strap on her gunslinger's belt with her holstered .44 and her back sheathed machete. She looked at her leg sheath empty without her Bowie Knife and frowned. She had broken her knife in her fight with the power armored Mechanic and had not yet replaced it. She tossed the knife sheath on her bed rather going to see Jack without her trademark knife than with an empty sheath, perhaps too concerned with image details but that was how her adolescent mind worked. On the way out of her quarters, Feral grabbed the blood stained map of the Slaver Camps that had been reaffirmed by the dead Mechanic who had also noted that the Slaver's main camp was at the Morgantown airport. Feeling as ready as she ever would be to report to Jack, Feral marched from the barracks to the Throne Room at a steady pace. ((//OOC: Follow Feral's adventure in the Throne Room))
  16. Mackenzie leaves with a wave out of Ferals room. “Oi you know I don’t do that stuff, I kinda view it like you do boys, it’s all yucky.” He chuckles as he leaves. Mackenzie wonders what he can do, after a while he decided he would go to the store.
  17. Lucky listed as she smoked...he didn't need to buy anything..but he didn't want to share his good instead he said goodbye to both Zie and Lucky then made his way to his room...he put on a record and poured himself a glass of his new whiskey...swishing it around in the glass and giving it a good whiff...smelling the sweet smell of good whiskey...he listened to music and relaxed with a stiff drink as he had done time and time again...he also lit a cigarette saving the cigars for a special event...he sat listening to music and staring at a picture he carried in his was of him and Thea horsing around in bed together...her laugh and smile just as impactful through photos as it was in person... a tear streamed down his face as the weight of all he had done in the name of vengeance hit him...he thought of old times....happier times...he wondered if his path of vengeance would have brought her peace...or if she would even recognize the person he'd become...he sat slowly drinking...smoking....and reminiscing....
  18. Feral's brown eyebrows flew high over her wide brown eyes surprised they both agreed with what she was thinking: The Pack should wait to report until Jack or one of his lieutenants summoned them. "Who woulda thunk!" Though Feral to herself then answered Lucky with a mischievous grin teasing, "You don't get a body like mine doing that junk!" Then the skinny thirteen year old giggled hysterically again. Laying out on her bed and taking out her Gronak comic from under her straw pillow, the preteen Pack leader ordered, "You boys go out and have fun. I know for a fact that you can buy drink, smoke, and chems in the rec-area. Go have fun, and I'll wait here and rest waiting for Jack to summon us. If he does, I'll come get you there before I report in - unless he only wants to see me!" Feral then flipped through the colorful pages of her comic not watching them as they left and wondering if they wondered how she knew where to buy that stuff.
  19. Lucky smirked and entered the room... "If it was me id wait to be summoned...dont wanna walk in on something ya know....hey quick qestion either of you drink or smoke...or do chems i guess...
  20. Mackenzie stays with Feral and chats with her, and watches her burying herself in work not hard work but she might be wanting something to do to ease her mind. He doesn’t blame her that was a tough battle there. When Feral asks him about the throne room he yawns. “As much as I would love to see Bone carver again I think we should wait to be summoned. Also probably thank her for saving us last time and try not to anger Jack anymore.” Mackenzie says stretching himself out.
  21. Feral grinned recognizing Luckys voice and quipping, "You here to get Lucky?" Then giggled hysterically. Once the giggle fit was over, Feral exclaimed, "Just kidding. Was wondering with Zie if we should go report to Jack - or wait for him to summon us?"
  22. Lucky made his way to the barracks after wandering around a bit...he could hear Feral talking so he made his way to her room knocking on the door frame... "Knock Knock"
  23. Seeing Mackenzie waiting outside the barracks, Feral takes his arm and bring's him inside with her, seating him on the old high back chair in her quarters saying, "Stay with me for a bit Zie, please?" Not waiting for an answer and not wanting to dwell on Inga's bad state, Feral buried herself in routines once she returned to her quarters. The young girl did her daily libations. She took off her soiled clothes, showered, then changed into a fresh pair of Raider leathers. She cleaned her fuzzy black boots and shined her black armor. The young Raider even cleaned her remaining weapons, all the while chatting about nothing special to Mackenzie. Finally Feral asked Mackenzie, "Do you think we should got to the Throne room to report to Jack? Or wait until Jack summons us? Just going there didn't go very well last time."
  24. Mackenzie is waiting outside the Barracks for Feral. “Oi Feral, is Inga going to be ok?” Mackenzie asks her if he sees her. Mackenzie respects Inga for being like a mom to Feral, it was more than he could ever do. He never knew how to be a mom or dad so he was always a good brother, but that only goes so far and Mackenzie is overjoyed that Feral has a mom figure to add on to the Father figure that is Yetti. “Oi wait a second, if they got together that would be like a REAL family... hmmmmm.” Mackenzie thinks to himself trying to think about how compatible the two are with each other. Basically playing match maker in his mind.
  25. Saul put a restraining hand on Feral shoulder demanding, "Inga needs rest now. You can do your girl-talk with her later. You seem better Feral so why don't you rest too - but in your own barracks so my patient can rest here." Feral was about to protest, but Saul pushed her out with a gentle but firm hand, then came back to Inga to give her a sedative to make her sleep. Her head wound stitched up and her injured ribs bandaged tightly, Feral decided not to argue and instead followed Doctor's orders and returned to her quarters in her barracks
  26. "Of course I would have, we're still a team, I still feel like complete shit though." Inga runs her palms over her forehead. "I didn't saw the shotgun, I thought Mackenzie had him in his scope.. The shotgun blast literally launched me back.. What else happend when I was still unconsious?" The woman asks Feral, she's clearly exhausted and drained of her energy.
  27. Feral angles herself so she can be seen by Inga while the medic examines Inga as Feral answers, "Mission accomplished. I'm alright, just... my head is a little banged up. Ribs too. Everyone else but you and me are fine, with you getting the worst of it." "You can thank Feral for treating you with chems and getting most of the shrapnel out of you or you'd be dead, Ms. Inga," Informed Saul as he examined Inga's wounds. Feral smiles shyly shrugging her shoulders as she exclaimed, "You would a done the same for me, right?"
  28. "Yeah.. I am fine.. I'll be fine.." The pain can be seen onto Inga's face, her pupils are dilated a fainted smirk can be seen onto her face. "How are you? You okay? Did the others made it? Did we complete the objective?" Inga says on a rather slow and exhausted way. she can't do much but lay onto her back, glancing around the Med Tent she's in.
